Top One-Game Save Percentages in a Bandits game (2005 to 2024-25)

Seasonal save percentages in lacrosse are much lower than they are in hockey. A good one in a lacrosse season is 75 percent, and a great one is 80 percent.

That leads to the question - what's a great one-game save percentage in the regular season? After watching Matt Vinc stop 93.2 percent of the shots in Jan. 2019, it was easy to wonder how good that was.

The answer: really good. I looked at goalies who played the entire game - in other words, no seven-minute relief relief wonders. Here are the top percentages since 2005 (as far back as gamesheets go) in the regular season, starting with the Bandits. After a win in Rochester to open the 2024-25 season, Vinc has six of the Bandits' top ten:

Name - Opponent - Date - Saves/Shots - Pct.
Matt Vinc - Rochester - 1/5/19 - 55/59 - .932
Matt Vinc - Philadelphia - 3/12/22 - 50/55 - .909
Anthony Cosmo - Rochester - 2/16/13 - 54/60 - .900
Steve Dietrich - Arizona - 4/7/08 - 43/48 - .896
Ken Montour - Portland - 3/21/09 - 34/38 - .895
Matt Vinc - Las Vegas - 4/20/24 - 42/47 - .894
Ken Montour - Rochester - 1/16/09 - 49/55 - .891
Matt Vinc - San Diego - 3/25/23 - 49/55 - .891
Matt Vinc - New England - 1/27/19 - 39/44 - .886
Matt Vinc - Rochester - 12/7/24 - 54/61 - .885

Now for Bandit opponents:
