Here's one of the hidden factors of expansion of the National Lacrosse League.
More teams are missing the playoffs, as the number of teams in the postseason has stayed at eight. That means some good players are going home at the end of April.
We had a bunch of them this past season. Jeff Teat broke the record for most points on a non-playoff team at 136. Mitch Jones of Philadelphia did the same at 126. There are three new faces in the top five, five in the top nine, six in the top 12.
Rob Hellyer even popped up again, and is still the only player with three appearances here.
